About Us
Neighborhood Ministries is a Christian youth development agency serving among Denver's residential poor. Our mission is to unleash the leadership potential of youth residing in northeast Denver.
Neighborhood Ministries runs a network of community youth clubs (Harambee) that provide a year-round program of bible studies (rap sessions), recreational activities, camps and retreats for elementary age children and junior high youth.
As youth enter high school, they enroll in Neighborhood Ministries' Emerging Leaders program, a leadership initiative designed to discover, affirm and unleash God-given leadership potential. Emerging Leaders (1) study personal and team leadership, (2) develop a career path, and (3) are mentored around the study of biblical principles, applying truth to life.
The context for leadership growth is the Harambee club program itself, where they serve as teachers, leaders and role models.
